Default 4l80e direct drum set up

Hi everyone, I'm currently rebuilding my 80e and I'm setting up my direct drum. I'm using 6 frictions and steels. depending on how many thick vs thin steels I use, i can either have my drum clearence at .052 or .067.

Should I have my clearence loose or tight? I read that you should have .010 for each friction , so that's .060. So I'm gonna be just under or over that clearence.

I'd go on the looser side. If it's set too tight it might apply before the rear band when going into reverse, and the shift will be really harsh. .060-.070 is a good range.
