4L60E Recon that will last First I want to say thanks for this awesome forum and especially the transmission section. Where a former Master Tech can get up to speed
on the latest and greatest in the business pretty fast.
Seems they have dialed in the parts to get these 4l60e to hold up better along with mods on core parts. Anyone recommend a parts distributor or transmission shop in metro Atlanta area that have done business with. The ones I used before do not seem to carry improved parts such as listed here in current threads. I can have parts shipped but torque converters are heavy when its by the pound. If I find a shop that I trust I'll probably let them do it just to keep from pulling it on my steep *** driveway, lol.

You can order most anything On-Line, If you insist on a "brick & mortar" retailer, Transtar has a location in the Atlanta area 5755 Goshen Springs Rd, Norcross, GA 30071.
And also What Ever It Takes (WIT) has a location #B, 1700 McCoba Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
Do NOT buy Converters from these 2 outfits! Specify the EXACT parts you want!

Thanks for the reply I will check both. Funny you mention converters I was just talking about the 300,000 OE converter that's still working. Why not their converters, I assume they are reman units?
