Bought 4L180e transmission from 2005 Isuzu
For my lq9 motor which is going on my 70 Camaro
I am little confuse about drive shaft cuz the starting of drive shaft of normal gm
Truck or pickup 4L80e is different then Isuzu .like to know what modifaction does the drive shaft need to go on my car?
That is a Medium Duty 4L80E (Isuzu NPR/Chevy W4500), You will need a Light Duty 4L80E extension housing, Remove the O-ring on the Output Shaft & run a Counter Bored TH400/4L80E slip yoke.....Or swap in a fully splined output shaft.
This may come off as being facetious......I avoid those cores like the plague! They are generally wore out junk by 150K. I hope you are going to go through it first?
thanks for your input, highly appreciate it. Would you mind letting me know which extension housing id need? Or what fully splined shaft? Where could I source them from?
I'm not that knowledgeable about transmission so if you could guide me that'd be great.
