4L80E --- Blocking accumulators In a street/strip application with electronic shifting, could the accumulators be blocked and instead, have the controller momentarily reduce line pressure and then ramp it back up at the end of the shift?
Can the line pressure react quickly enough?
Any down side to the rest of the trans, having momentary reduced line pressure?
Having software controlled accumulators might be able to give you soft shifts on the street and harder shifts at the track.
