Just by moving a sensor around doesn't change what temp its running at. The temp is what it is. You just have to realize that sensors in different locations will read different temps. For instance mine reading off the pcm reads higher than most everyone else who isn't reading off pcm. That's because that measures using the trans internal sensor which will measure higher because in reality its measuring the valve body and case temp more than the fluid temp. It stays under 200f unless I'm beating it up on hot summer days so I'm good. And even then I may have seen 210f tops for not long at all.

I wouldn't worry about it op your well within spec and I really wouldn't worry about being too cold.

I disagree, in the winter (socal) my trans temp will stay below 140 @ freeway speed, and I have NEVER had any condensation problem with proliferation of the fluid. I run a 3 qt deeper pan with a 24k cooler (dope style).

I use a Cyburdine digital gauge (old eyes), with the sensor in the pressure port.

Yes, I'm sure one season of sub 140 or even 120 will not yield long term issues (in fact I know it won't), please read post #16. Now, what are your temperatures in the other 3 seasons?

Here in Socal, there isn't really 4 seasons, there is winter Dec - Feb (48F-70F (BURR)) and the rest of the months are 85F-105F.

On the hot days, freeway I'm @ 175F-190F, in town with stop lights not being able to achieve lock up (43mph) 195F-210F.

Most of my driving (which is once a month) I put 180 miles on Sara which is all freeway.

My Yank converter is 278mm, which I believe is 10.9 diameter opposed to the 12" stock converter.

I would call that normal (a touch warm in town, but with those ambient temps that would be expected). Have you looked into a B&M plate cooler? IIRC the 70274 is 29.2K.
