4l60e Looking for some help here.
So I had a 3600 converter installed along with a fresh rebuild on the trans.
So here is the problem had all tune changed for the converter I rechecked against other similar tunes, the trans won't shift out of 1st gear until about 4K rpm at light throttle or even part throttle and at wot it hits the rev limiter. When it finally shifts to 2nd gear it goes right to 3rd and at wot it bumps the rev limiter in 2nd also.
Just changed the VSS and no change. Could it be a bad 1-2 2-3 solenoid ?

1st thing is to determine where to look, Get a scanner or tuner on it and watch the data stream and see when it commands the shift not when its tuned to but when it actually does it, Should be a place that says actual gear or similar depending on the scanner used or you can just monitor which solenoids are on and off
1- both on
2-A off B on
3- both off
4-A on and B off
Figure that out first then consider faulty solenoids or stuck valves .
