Rebuilt 4l60e
I'm wondering if I drilled the separator plate right? It only said to drill 2nd feed hole. I've seen in some other threads how the 3rd hole has to be able to keep up. 1-2 is firm and positive. Under 33% throttle and 2-3 is positive. 3-4 and tcc are positive.
I followed the tight side of clearances when refreshing and took extra time to check the valvebody over. The original valvebody failed due to a stuck eps. I put a 97 valvebody in with solenoids. Am I missing something?
Corvette servo, new aluminum accumulator pistons, new bushings etc etc
Ps, I'm running it on the 4.3 for now, I plan on a 4.8 or 5.3 later
Did you install a second "cushion" spring in the servo.
What clearance do you have in the 3/4 clutch, and how many frictions?
I bought the servo kit complete. Installed and checked clearance and adjusted to the tight side that was recommended on another build tread similar to mine
I bought the complete alto kit with 9 thin clutches ( I know, I saw the reviews on here after the fact and felt like an *** plus the wife is on my *** already). Again, Iirc I had .40 total clearance after air checking the pistons and settling it all.
Honestly I'm happy with it but that flare just isn't right. I let go and it shifts immediately. It's been habit to let off around 2200rpm anyways but I had to hold it a few days ago and then I noticed it didn't shift at 3500 rpm.
This is my second one I've torn into, first I've actually driven so don't tear me up too bad. I posted a tread a ways back asking about shift timing, the computer still expects most shifts to last longer then they actually take. I like to keep a spare trans for my vehicles so I'll be building another I just got. Since its no rush tho I can buy here and there. Lol, I bought a parts one just to test fit for a 4.8.
