All of a sudden (this wasn't happening 3 days ago) when my trans shifts from 3 to 4 the revs drop and then jump a couple hundred RPM and then level off. It kind of feels like a firm quick shift when this happens. But not like a tire barking 1-2.

I have used HPtuners to decrease my shift durations (around .2) and shift points have been modified as well.

Is this a sign of the 3-4 pack going bad?

Trans temps are always right around 180

Does it happen when you are running around 60 MPH? I am having a similar problem and from what I can find out it leads me to think that the TCC solenoid (Transmission Converter Clutch solenoid)is bad or something related to it.

 

This happened to me about a year ago, it was barley making 2-3 3-4 shifts at wot w/o hitting the revv limiter as it would shift really slow. I reset my computer and it worked fine after that, never has happened again.

 

It happens to me in between 35-40mph.

I have bounced off the limiter on the 2-3 during WOT. This might be due to my moving shift points around. The trans sometimes shifts around 100-200 rpm after I want it too for some reason.

 

Have you had your transmission built up?
