New to Autos: Choosing a converter

New to Autos: Choosing a converter Like the title states, this is my first auto transmission. I sold the T56 out of my '00 Z28, and picked up a th400 from an el camino. Theres probably a bit more research I have to do, but I want to know where to look for a solid converter.
heres some info on the setup:
Motor: H/C 6.0 LQ4, 250 shot (not in the car yet but in the works),
12 bolt rear end
Goals: 1/8 mile car, shooting for mid 6's or so. I want the car to leave hard as hell. I plan on having the tranny built with a transbrake, and I'll be using a 2step as well. I want good, consistent, 60ft times out of the car, I do some racing in mexico and want to be out launching most other cars.

We have an excellent option for your Camaro. Our Pro Series has a custom billet front cover that makes this swap a breeze. It features the 10.75", 11.06" and the 11.5" bolt patterns to fit a wide variety of flex plates. It also has a screw on pilot so you can use this converter behind an LS engine or a SBC/BBC type.
