I have a 03 silverado 5.3 will the 4l60e out of a 02 4.3 s-10 bolt up and work properly

 

To my knowledge yes it will.

 

You need to make sure that the 4L60E out of the 02 4.3 has a 300mm input shaft and not the older 298mm shaft. The LS engine vehicles all had/need the 300mm shaft and I have been told that GM switched later non-LS engines to the 300mm too.

 

Best to just post a picture of the transmission bell housing/input shaft/converter area. This will let us know for sure.

All LS motors have a bolt hole at the top of the bell housing. This is the easiest way to tell. All LS input shafts will have the torque converter clutch seal behind the teeth on the input shaft.
