Well long story short my 1-2 band started slipping,
It would rev up more and more in 1st and was struggling to catch when going up hills or starting from a stop.

I had no choice but to drive it a couple more times and now i just get a little vibration in first, but shes not going anywhere.

Feel free to comment on cause but im pretty sure i burned out my bands.

ANYWAY its a custom ls1 swap into a 2002 dodge ram,
I just want to buy a used 4l60E and throw it in there but i am having a hard time finding one that will match... the LS1 and trans came out of a ~03 firebird

Since i have my old trans do I have more new trans options since i can swap over parts to make the new one fit?


I have been told the v6 firebird trans will be a headache to make work even with my v8 trans parts available....

shouldn't be that difficult to find a 4l60e from a 99+ v8 GM truck, just make sure its 2 wheel drive

the only real difference from the fbody trans is it won't have the torque arm mount on the tailhousing
