4L80E what year I've seen it both ways, old ones are stronger OD new ones are better because of the fluid cooling.
What do I have to do to use an mid to late 90's 80E? Looks like update the harness and that's it.
Please fill in the blanks. I've searched and also read about 100 pages of post etc

Street strip car, about 2700lb with driver. Initial hp will be in the 550 range with intent to go to 750 with TT set up. I'm just planning on doing a general overhaul and a shift kit. I'll run it until it breaks.
