Default 2800 compared to 4000 stall

Was not sure where to post this but ill post here its regarding dyno numbers.

I currently have a auto swapped c6z it cam with a 2800 stall. Well I purchased a circle d 4000 stall which is currently going in the car with a lot of other stuff heads, cam, msd manifold ect ect.

Now I'm not that into dyno numbers but I kinda wanted to know what my old setup would put down compared to the new one but I'm changing stalls. Ive always heard the 4000 is going to read lower on the dyno is that true?

I currently make 522 rwhp with a 2800 stall so with a 4000 stall would it read lower?

Yes, the higher stall converter will likely have a bit of slip at high RPM and therefore Dyno to a lower max HP. It doesn't matter. The 4000 Stall will let your cam'ed engine stay in its power band and you will find that the car accelerates better under all conditions!
If you want a fast car, get a high stall converter; if you only want the highest Dyno HP, run a stock converter.
Of course, if you want both a faster car and highest HP, get a triple disk converter and tune it to stay locked even up to WOT.

Im running a circle D 5c converter (4000 stall).. hits hard, and pulls nasty. This 5c converter is easily drivable.

You will love it.. btw, i went from a vig 3200 to this circle D 5c and never regretted it. You will love it.

I ran a 3200 Circle D converter in Silverado and was very happy with it. Even towed some with it.

Typically unlocked the looser converter will read lower. Like others have mentioned though, don't worry about that the performance gain between the two converters will be night and day difference.
