Vette C5 4L60 trans cool options? Hi all got a C5 vert from 1999...
Done a few mods not, including performance ones... I'm hoping money permitting to get a supercharger in a few years, end game around 550hp... then upgrade the trans etc near that time...
But I fancy fitting an external auto box oil cooler maybe before , figure cooler temps can't harm as I beleive that's big killer of boxes... I do drive mine 'manually' quite a bit as its great fun... So my rtemps are excessive max in around 210 .. But cooling can't be a bad thing.. Want to get one I can use on say a new box upgrade too, where's that's a rebuild, or maybe off the shelf from RPM or something...
So what have you fitted and what sort of result have you seen .. Drop in temps..
I'm in the UK, so any suggestions and links you have for me appreciated

B&M 70266 bypassing the stock cooler in the radiator.
I have not hit above 160 degrees on the streets and my highest temp to date was 179 degrees one time on a road course on a 85 degree day after about 7 hard laps.

thanks for the response buddy .. I bit the Bullet and bought the B&M .. slightly different model to yours, but hopefully be OK...
that's trans sorted.. I'm also thinking on doing something with a 160 or 180 thermostat and fans for standard radiators.. haven't had any issues, but about the buy a front splitter which will restrict some air flow.. and some people have seen higher temps.. I'm not in a hot country! so see how it goes
