Default flexplate ?'s regarding weight, runout, etc.

On my previous LS1 camaro I ran a meziere billet one piece flex plate. It appeared to be a very high quality piece that carried a $500 price tag. I've been doing some reading and I'm getting mixed results regarding a light vs heavy flex plate. Some think a lighter one may yield faster rev's. Other say a weighted one will provide a better 60-ft times, keep the rpm's higher after shifts, and provide better performance in the upper rpm's.

I'm also interested in runout. The meziere is supposed to be between 0.003-0.005".

I'm obviously not looking at the cheapest flex plates made. I don't know much about the circle d or reactor flex plates. Any advanced knowledge on any of these and/or lighter or heavier flex plates?

Im sure the circle d piece is nice, and Ive had a TCI and its damn nice as well.

I also use the TCI flexplate and find it top quality.

Since the flexplate bolts to the much, much heavier torque converter, the weight of the flexplate is a non-issue performance wise. If you want max driveline acceleration, you would choose a small diameter (higher stall) converter, as they are lighter.
However there is research showing that too-light a balancer (and perhaps a converter) lead to more crankshaft vibration/harmonics which in turn can upset the valve train for a loss of power at high RPM. While I have no 1st hand info on this, "lighter" is not automatically better.
