Default 4l60e 9TTD, what's inside

Looking at buying a used 4l60e with code 9TTD on top. It's out of an H3 Hummer with the V6, not the 5.3. Will this have the 5 pinion planets, input speed sensor, and all the other features of an M70, or is this still an M30 inside?

The first digit "9" indicates it a '99 or a '09, but since from a Hummer it has to be an '09.
It will have the input speed sensor (ISS) and various other upgrades GM made over the years; it may or may not have the 5 pinion planets but that is not really important.

HOWEVER, it will have the newer style valve body without the 3-2 downshift solenoid and with a mechanical shift lever indicator instead of the manifold pressure switch; all this comes with a different harness connector. In other words, it will not work with a '07 or earlier PCM/TCM.
Now I have made a '10 work with both '98 and '02 PCMs, but I had to swap to an older style valve body and internal harness.

Where do you plan to use it and what PCM/TCM will it have.

Up to this point I had never heard of GM eliminating the manifold pressure switch! I'm attempting to find a suitable transmission to rebuild to put behind a worked over '03 6.0L LQ4 and the whole thing is going to go into an '03 S10. Now from what you've told me I don't believe this transmission is going to be worth the trouble. There's too much work to do to make it fit and still might not have the 5 pinion planets.

As far as I know, the only m32 5pinion planet 4L65E's were put behind the GTO's and the LQ9 Cadillac Escalade or the GMC Denalli. The GTO's are the only 2wd trans I have seen. The others have been all 4x4, but maybe they made them, IDK. I am currently going to swap one over to a 2wd. My 6.0, just took out my 60e, although, it wasn't fresh or anything.

From what I understood, initially GM only put the 5 pinion planets behind 6.0s. But I also thought that the 4 pinion planets were being phased out around 07-08 and only the 5 pinion planets were being installed from the factory. Learn something new about these transmissions everyday.
