Default SS4000 or PT 4000?

I have a Midwest 3400 2.0 TC right now. I love it but i have already decided to probably get a bigger converter. I don't know when i'll get it but i most likely will.

On Yanks comparison chart i'm interested in 2. The Super Yank 4000 or the PT 4000 converter.

SS4000 . PT4000
Efficiency - 96% . Efficiency - 96%
STR - 1.86 . STR - 2.2

I like the looseness of the converter i have right now. Which one would perform better and wouldn't hurt my top end. When i went with the MW 3400 2.0 TC i noticed a slight difference on the top end. It slightly lost a bit of it's pull. I haven't been to the track with my car yet but will pretty soon. I'm no track addict yet and not sure how many times i'll go in a year.

I don't plan to spray at all and will get a cam in the future. Maybe a TR224 563/563 114 or something similar to that.

My car is a daily driver and would like to keep it civil...somewhat.

Both are very efficient on top end, they will probably be about the same on top end. The only reason i would say that maybe a PT4000 MIGHT be a bit slower is because of the initial spinning of the tires due to the higher STR.

I think there's some confusion on the stats here.

The SS4000 has an STR of 2.6 and the PT4000 has an STR of 2.2. The SS4000 has the higher STR. Perhaps you were looking at the SY4000 stats? It has a 1.86 STR and an efficiency of 96%.

The SS has an efficiency of 94%. The PT4000 is 96%.

The SS4000 will be more streetable (higher STR and 21 blade stator.)
The SS4000 will have a little harder hit off the line (higher STR.)
The PT4000 will have a higher shift extension.
The PT4000 will give a little higher trap speeds (higher efficiency and higher shift extension.)
ETs will be very similar with a slight edge going to the PT4000 I'd guess.

SS4000 would best meet your needs as you described them. More Civil and will give a good performance boost over your current converter.
