Default 4l60 slight slippage after converter

Long story short, after I installed a converter the transmission does a quick slip after shifting to 4th gear. It is quick but enough to see the rpms climb maybe 200-300 then back to normal. The car runs perfect in every other gear and it only does it some times. I have asked around and some have told me it could be adjusted(tunning) while other people have no clue. The car only has 13k
Original miles so I don't think its a worn 3rd/4th clutch but who knows. I called Performabuilt and spoke to a tech and he told me it sounds like I am describing the converter locking but I am not sure because it sure feels like a quick trans slippage. Any thoughts?

Is it when you shift to fourth gear when it slips, when driving regular, or at WOT? Who tuned the car?

It does it mostly when at lower speeds. When its under load, it rarely does it. The car was tuned by RBE Tunning in MS.

After driving the car today and paying attention to the issue, I noticed that its not really a lip. The transmission shifts into 4th gear, back to 3rd for a second and then back to 4th. Its as if after the transmission shifts to 4th, the computer says "not yet, ok go". I'm thinking it has to do with shift points but I know nothing about tuning. Any other ideas?

Yes, shift points in the tune could easily give that behavior.
Has the tune been modified?

Yes, the car had some power add ons along with a converter installed and the tuned was changed.

You could disable the lock up temp, then drive it-I would say tune, because now the engine is operating in a diff RPM range than stock, so MPH/RPM are diff, along with throttle position, they all have to work in harmony
I know when setting up a stand alone trans controller, you see the effect all those things have on the trans

Well, just for reference; the car needed adjustment where the converter locks and unlocks. Some of the values/numbers (miles) were too close together. The guy who helped me maxed the values in 1-3rd gear so the converter will not lock and spread out the miles/numbers in 4th and it works like a charm! Problem solved!

I was just getting ready to post this. and don't forget to set the tcc lock up pressure to 60psi in all tables. The stock settings just cause a long slip into lock up. Sticky above states set it to 100psi but imo that is too harsh for me.

We will be touching up the setup once I changed spark plugs so I will mention to him the PSI setting. I don't have an idea what I was looking at. All I saw was a bunch of numbers and green, yellow and red! lol

Good deal. Just wanted to clarify it's tcc duty cycle max 100 for all tables, min 60 for all tables.
