Hose heat shielding question

I have two -6 AN hoses for my transmision cooling lines they run within 2" of the headers. I'm going to run both lines in a-12 fire sleeve UNLESS someone knows putting both of them in the same sleeve will affect the cooling effectiveness. It will only be where the lines are closest to the heat source, maybe 2'

I run mine in the same sleeve, also wrapped the exhaust, been like that for 2 years

Not really knowing your whole setup,,, I would reroute over the top of the transmission and use Aeroquipe stainless braided line, I've only seen a couple cars burn at the track and melted transmission lines were the cause of both of them. The fire sleeve will protect lines fairly well but you need to monitor the condition of it and replace when it finally wears out/gets brittle.

forcd ind, The headers are coated in the Jet Hot 2500 degree coating but I might wrap the section closest to the lines. Thanks

Thanks Dave, I have XRP XR 31 hose and fittings. Most of it is 4-6" away but, near the back of the starter one tube is where it get 2" maybe a little more from the header.
