Default For no prep racing powerglide or 4l80e

I'm thinking about switching to a powerglide but should I ???? I'm looking to hook and leave as hard as possible on a no prep road.
70 Nova minitubbed,29.5x10.5w tire,LS402 with a 250hp shot on fogger,weighs 3200lb's with driver,3.70 rear gear.
I already have a fullybuilt 4l80e,jakes transbrake,I put car in Drive while racing and computer shifts trans, can also leave in 2nd but haven't tried it only tried 1st on footbrake, car wont hook on transbrake even on motor.
So with all this in car and running, would I benefit from a glide by being able to leave a lot harder and more forgiving on a crap road, and not lose horsepower with near as much rotating weight or weight in general as the 4l80e.

My buddy TJ has a 67 Chevelle and he runs a Glide. He does a lot of no prep type events...

Definitely glide. The 1st gear ratio on an 80e makes it hard to hook on no-prep with any decent amount of power.
