can't feel stall converter
Ok I'm new to having a stall converter and I'm not sure if I'm suppose to feel it. my car is a 1974 mgb 2 seater convert, weighs about 2300 lbs I have a 4.8 with a gm hot cam and a ford 8 inch rear with 3.0 . my stall is a 12 inch 2200-2400 and I thought I would feel a difference between it and the stock and I don't. Now I'm not having any problems, no slipping or shifting problems. So my question is should I feel it taking off from a stop. Thanks in advance.

That is a pretty low stall speed to feel much of a difference especially if it's on the tighter side. Stock stall speed is around 1800 rpms. With that light of a vehicle and that small of a stall I don't think you would see a whole lot with just jumping up a few hundred rpms.

Agreed. The 12" converter in a light car like this is not going to work great. I would at least upgrade to some variant of the 11" inline 6 trailblazer converter assuming this is a 4.8/4l60 combo. We have a beefed up one that's pretty budget friendly if you need.
