Working from under the vehicle. Im having trouble removing the transmission along with the transfer case from 2003 suburban. Any suggestions?

What's the problem? Does the transmission not want to separate from the block/off the dowls ?

yes. transmission wont drop. Do I need to disconnect the transfer case?

yes, you'll need to remove the transfer case. Did you remove all the bell bolts? there's six counting the one at the very top of the bell housing. Sometimes there hard to to get off the motor.

I pulled my transfer case first on my yukon, seemed easier to me that way.

The dowels can be a major pain as well. I had to pry between the trans and engine while "jiggling" the trans to separate mine. I left the T-Case on on mine, then again..the NNBS might have more room underneath were the T-Case does not cause issues with removal.
