Default 4l80e output shaft slip yoke choice

Hi fellas...Been through countless threads to look for a definitive answer but getting real confused...so... I have a 4l80e with a short output shaft (85mm spline) .Original yoke was a bolt on.I have taken off the tailshaft housing and removed the O ring. I fitted up my original th400 slip yoke (1 3/4 counterbore)
When pulled out 3/4"measurements show I only have 1 3/4" of spline engagement..Is this enough ?? (502hp and 474 ftlbs of torque) If not can anyone give me a details of a better yoke (1310 if possible)..Thin on the ground over here in England !!
I know this topic is well discussed but i have yet to find the facts
BIG thanks for any help ,, Jack Liverpool England
