Default LS3/4L80 into a Ford

Got an LS3 Erod going into my Ford Sport Trac next week, and I can't seem get a straight answer as to which 4L80 trans is the right one for my swap, Ive been told there are to many ones to choose from. The truck will see some off road abuse, but mostly will be used on the freeway.
I'd like to keep the RPM's down in the 2200 range at 70 mph, the rear end has 5.00's in it. I've yet to order my converter but I'm thinking below 2600 stall to keep the heat down

Any help would be appreciated

Rpm will be a ratio of gearing and tires. Since the 80e can lock the converter uounhave lots of options. Might be best to call a converter builder and pick there brain

I just swapped an 80e into my 454 crew cab dually. With a 4.10 year and 31 inch tires im turning in the 2300/2400 range to run it at 70mph. I'm running a stock converter and the rpm drop from lock to unlock is close to 300rpm on highway
