Default Driveshaft?

Got the Th400 installed and need to measure for a driveshaft. I have a moser 9in I put the yoke all the way in the transmission and measured from the flat part of the yoke to the flat part on the 9in. I got 45in. Does the sound about right. Also how much play should I want 1in? So get a 44in drive shaft made?
Thanks

When I measured for the 4l80e , I bottomed the yoke out then pulled it out 3/4", then measured.
I would think an inch is OK.
Was the rear sitting at ride height?
Make sure you tell the DS guy how and where from you measured it.

I have ordered custom driveshafts from different vendors. With the differential tubes on jack stands to keep the ride height correct, I crawl under the car with a tape measure and a cell phone and then call the DS vendor and ask exactly how they want it measured.

Alright getting one made locally and he recommended
3.5in steel driveshaft .095
Seems a little overkill, what do yall think
500hp N/A then a 200 shot on top of that.
