GTO limp mode

Just got the GTO back on the road but having trans issues now. What happen was there was a random hot wire in the engine bay from the previous owners nitrous set up and it grounded out. Causing the car to stall out and my dash lights to go haywire and the trans not to shift like it's taking off in high gear. Fixed the wire and pushed the main-plug in to the trans and the car seems normal while idling but trans had no change. Any ideas? I'm thinking shift solenoids

Did you check the fuses?

Yeah the trans fuse is fine any other I should check?

Have you put a scanner on it to check for any codes?

I haven't the car is about an hour out. Just seeing if I could get any help with the issue before going
