Default TH400 only reverse...

Hi,
Had the car on the dyno some weeks ago and drove it home with no issues. Had the car parked until now as I had a PS pump failure, but fixed it and should take drive. I put the car in reverse and drove out of the garage and put it into low, but no forward movement. It was a little low on fluid, but topped it up, but still the same. With a pretty high rpm, the car barely moved into the garage again...
Drained the fluid, it looked pretty ok and I could not smell anything burnt...
Any suggestions where to starts?
Thank.

Going by what you are saying, sounds like the forward clutches are fried.

Did you try all the gears in forward? Check your shifter cable adjustment as well (the cables do not like to be near any heat).

Yes I did.
I have no cables, just a rod...

Pulled the pan late yesterday, and there was some black, fine stuff at the bottom. Suppose it was some clutch material...
Anyway I picked up a newly built TH400 with shiftkit today from the local transguy. Should be up and going pretty soon I hope
Thanks
