Street tranny tuning Nothing ghey here.
What would you guys recommend for part throttle street mpg tuning.
I've got lockup set to 950-1000 in 3/4 but i'm wondering if anyone has a good (gas saving, tighter) table for part throttle.
Idea being going slow, getting good mpg, blah.
I got hptuners so track really isn't an issue. Lockup at 40mph in 4th and unlock at 35 maybe eating more gas than holding 3rd gear to a higher rpm (or locking) then shifting to 4 later?
gonna have to swap in the VW soon if i can't squeeze some more mpg out of her

For gas savings you want to get into lock-up as soon as you can in 3rd & 4th gear.
For drivability, using second gear and then going into 3rd and immediately locking up improves the feel of part throttle response and reduces looseness. Try the following:
for TPS = 0% & 6% add 1 mph to the 1-2 upshift and 2 mph to the 2-3 updshift.
for TPS > 6% - 31% (I forgot the exact #) add 1 mph to 1-2 and 3 mph to 2-3 and add 2 mph to 3-2 downshift.
You can experiment from there.
