Gen. 5 Camaro/4L80?

Will the 4L80 fit into the Gen. 5 Camaro? I'm not sure which auto transmission the Gen. 5 comes with. Anyone know?

It will physically fit, You may have to trim the "ears" on the bellhousing. The largest auto 5th gens come with are 6L90E's in ZL1's which make 4L80E's look small.

So, what's the stock transmission? Is it a 6L80e? I don't see why a 4L80 would need to be trimmed, if the 6L90 will fit.

V6's come with a 6L50E, LS3/L99 have the 6L80E, & the LSA is backed by a 6L90E.

6L80E/6L90E/Late 4L60E's don't have the bellhousing "ears".

I have a modified cross member that was on a 4L80 that I bought should any of you jump that way.
