Default 07 Chevy Tahoe trans issues.

Ok my first post here with you guys. I’m a member with several other diesel sites. But anyway.
My wife’s 07 4x4 Tahoe’s trans took a dump. Strangest trans failure I have ever been around. So I decided I would rebuild another and put it back in.

The trans I rebuilt was from an 04 burban 4x4 I had sitting in the shop floor.

Well upon getting ready to install the trans (after rebuild). I noticed the plug having less pins then what the trans I removed from the hoe. After reading it’s for the iss sensor.

Stupid me just jumped the gun before knowing facts. I put an 07 trans in my wife’s old 04. So I just assumed I could go the other way and be fine as well so I rebuilt the early trans
My question is what are my options here. To make the trans function properly.

1- do I need this sensor beings the Tahoe had it but this trans does not Or can I have it tuned out and be fine?

2- can I install my input shaft and pump to this trans and make that work. Or is the porting different?

Or just any other advice would be accepted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time.

I'm no expert, but I think that if you use the 07 input shaft, pump and electronics it will work.

Using the later 2007 with the added sensor in the 2004, you will need the 2007 back half of the pump and the input shaft (or the whole 2007 input drum assembly) from the 2007 unit. The input shaft and the stator are matched and cannot be interchanged, as the sealing ring area on the shaft is in a different location because of the added sensor. If the stator teeth (on the 2007) that go in the torque converter are in good shape, and the back half of the pump is in good shape (not worn from the rotor), just replace the two bushings in the stator support and you should be good to go here.
