Default Need help with wiring

i have a 2001 5 speed Camaro. I’m just looking for info on what wiring harness I’ll need to adapt the trans to a 4l60e when I swap it out with a ls1/4l60e. Or is my best bet to get a tci trans controller so it’s not even controlled by the pcm?

If you're getting an actual LS1, not a truck motor...then just get the harness and pcm with it.
If you have a 2001 camaro...and that car came with LS1/4L60e from the factory...then a good factory harness will work perfect. Am I missing something here...doesn't seem like this question makes alot of sense.

F body car
F body engine/trans combo
Why not just use the F body harness and pcm?

Why not just use the F body harness and pcm?

sorry if if it was confusing. I have a 3.8l 5 speed. I know I can get a pcm and engine harness from a 99-02 LS1 Camaro and that will take care of the wiring for the motor. Do I just need to get a 4l60e connector and harness to swap over from the v6 manual trans to a 4l60e auto?

The 99-02 camaro harness and pcm...if you get them from an Auto car...will already have all of the 4l60e wiring

The trans harness is tied into the main harness to the pcm

So you found a LS1/4L60E that didn't come with the harness? Most places sell the whole swap set up.
