Default Trans cooler lines - orings at the bottom of the radiator

Anyone remove their Trans cooler lines from the bottom of the radiator on their 2014 Camaro V8 or similar year? BTW, I did a search and came up with nothing.

The radiator is plastic and when you unbolt the lines the cooling unit is free to move around inside the bottom of the radiator.

What I found was that the orings that keep the coolant from leaking out at the holes for the lines, appear to be too large. The orings can be removed with a small wire with a hook on it. When you measure the rings they're 1", but when you measure the surface on the inside that they appear to seat into/onto, the diameter is a bit smaller.

This allows the oring to slide around and over the inside fitting and hence not provide any coolant sealing. Or at least that what it appears to be to this lay guy.

Did find some pics of replacement radiators and they show the fittings on the radiator with no pipes/lines. Probably disassembled it incorrectly.

Here's a pic:

Anyway, it's now what it is...

Any insight here will be much appreciated,
Nick

Just to follow up on how this got fixed: no one had an answer, so while I was at a radiator repair shop I picked up to sets of somewhat smaller than the 1" oem orings. The smaller set of which seems to fit perfectly. Tested by hand tightening the fittings with water just in the bottom of the radiator and it seems to be fine. Fully tightened the fittings and we'll see what happens.
