No 2nd gear or reverse

No 2nd gear or reverse I have a92 Silverado with a 4l460e trans. That has 1st 3rd and 4th but no reverse or 2nd gear /I have to run rpm up to around 5000rpm to catch 3rd and 4th also downshifts to 1st when stopped anybody know what this could be thanks
If your truck is truly a 1992 then it *should* have a 4L60 (NO "E"!!!!), otherwise known as a TH-700R4.
As mentioned above, no 2nd, no 4th, and no reverse is almost always a stripped sunshell. Time for a rebuild, with upgrade to a BETTER sunshell.
