LS to 400 with motor plate

I have a 1/4"motor plate on the rear of my LS-1. Do I still need the adaptor plate and pilot adapter?

What adapter plate are we talking about? part number? link?
Converter height will need to be adjusted accordingly for the mid plate assuming nothing else changes.
