Default 4l60e missing pwm solenoid

Had a customers 4l60e tht i swapped out for a low milage used unit. He had a ls swapped box chevy.

Another shop did the swap, and he supposedly purchased the original 60e from a salvage yard. It had reverse but barley and needed reving to move. He said first did work but unsure on other gears.

Well yesterday i tore his 60e down to look it over and see if it could be fixed. I noticed tht the pwm solenoid was completely missing from valve body, 3-4 clutches were burnt up, and forward planet thrust bearing eat up badly.

Would the pwm solenoid being removed cause issues as in fluid loss?? Im geussing some one stole parts from it and sold it to him. Wierd situation.

The 1993 & 1994 units did not have this solenoid. What year is the transmission?

Trans is a 00 model trans. Valve body has the bore for it and the wiring harness pigtail. Valve body has 00 on it so i assume its a 2000 model trans and valve body. Just missing the pwm solenoid. Someone had to have taken it out for a part or something. Crazy!!

All valve bodies have this hole. Yours is just missing for whatever reasons.

Look at pump casting. Itll either have PWM on it or it wont.

Its a pwm front pump. I swapped in a pwm solenoid i had from another core trans.

Geussing someone used it on another trans or something.
