Default 4l80e SFI Shield or blanket options Fbody

I have a 2000 ws6 fbody with a 4l80e in it. What is everyone doing for the transmission shields or transmission blankets to meet the SFI requirements? The transmission is stuffed in the tunnel pretty good already, so I feel a shield might not be an option.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Reid bellhousing is good...but it doesn't cover the rest of the trans. Doesn't make the whole trans SFI approved. It also requires some precision machining to make work.

There is now a Reid case available if you want to go all out.

Do you know if those shields will fit in a Fbody? Would still need a flywheel shield too right?

Have you looked at the tunnel in an F body? if you have the 80e swapped in...you should be able to see the room you have to deal with.

Everything is tight...and not everything is just a simple bolt on. I can't verify whether or not these fit...that's for you to do and share back with the rest of us what you find.

Yes I have an 80e in a Fbody currently and I am aware of the clearance issues hence the reason I am asking these questions. These cars are rather common at the track so I figures someone would be able to advise on their setup to be legal at the track. I am trying to avoid spending $200 on something that is known to not fit.

Thanks for your informative response....

Here's a novel idea...call the manufacturer?? Ask them for some pictures that show how tightly they tuck.

Im the only informative comment so far on a shield but....
