The long rear fitting in my 4l80e doesn’t seem to be sealing internally. I know there is a seal inside the transmission but when I put trans gel on the smooth part of the fitting and pull it out there is no witness marks in the gel. I’ve tried with both after market and stock fittings. Is it supposed to seal or be somewhat loose? I do know the seal wasn’t left out because I remember seating it when rebuilding the transmission.
