4l80e boost sleeve question I bought a Craigslist 4l80e that was “rebuilt”, for peace of mind I purchased a rebuild kit and did it again (very first transmission rebuild). With that said I don’t know what the true OEM stuff looks like.
I’m doing the oil pump and went to install the new Sonnax boost sleeve and spring and put it together and the “OE bumper spring”, seems very loose on the inside. It moves about 1/4” end to end after everything is installed and snap ring in place.
When I intially took it apart i don’t recall it having any play in the springs.
Does anyone have a link to someone having the same issue or any insight on what I may be doing wrong.
