So if you were in the TH400 market, where would you get it? I acquired a little 69 Dart, needs a TH400. Need it to hold up to probably 800hp.

 

Where are you located? Depending on where I was, I would choose an array of different vendors.

 

I used fti and could not be happier.

 

I consider the GM Throttle-Valve based and GM Electronic based 4-speed automatic transmission Builders to be in a relatively small community ( I am not including DIY and Stock re-builders).

The Race oriented GM 3-speed community is larger; so I would recommend, that you find someone close to you (Hopefully with in a driving distance) and try to build a good relationship with them.
This way you are not a stranger to them, when you need to ask for help or trouble shooting.

 

I'm in NorCal. I've noted ATI, FTI, Rossler. I don't usually run autos, but thinking something w/trans brake.

I would love to know your offerings. Do you guys offer built 4l80e transmissions as well? And what would you suggest for a 800-1000whp street car for transmission? Car does a lot of city and highway driving - Plan on doing a few track runs but that's about it. Which transmission would you guys suggest for an application like that?

 

The 4L80E's we do not build. We build converters for them and we stock parts some parts for anyone looking to build there own. For your 800-1000WHP street car i would go with our level 4.5 or level 5 TH400(depending on where power actually lands)
