raptor th400 ls1 kit has anyone bought this Raptor TH400 w/LS1 install kit from these guys? scroll down, it's about 1/2 way down.

just want to get some opinions on this kit if anyone has any. does anyone else sell a similar kit? are all the items listed required for the install? thanks!

i have been looking for 2 weeks and doing my reasearch they seem to be ok but from what i have found they are not to well known and everyone has told me to go to rossler. you will basically get the same trani for the same price the only differences are rossler's trani's are well known and you will get a trans break patc (raptor) doesn't offer this. that set up (the whole thing) is pretty expensive with the converter, flex plate torque arm, safety loop, i have all this and i know i didnt pay 3600+ for it
i payed
550 for torque arm and safety loop BMR
200 flexplate
700 converter
1295 trani w/break
=2745
it may be a ok idea to buy the trani but the whole set up is kinda expensive
truthfuly i couldn't believe it when i saw the price
this is just my opinion

i payed 250 for my drive shaft, i also used my stock trani mount bought a 25 poly mount and made 2 alumn. block 3/4" and put between the floor and the trani to drop it down a little for the poly mount

do you have a link for rossler? i've never heard of them
also i was under the impression that the ds length between th400 & rear end was different, so that's why raptor was providing those in the kit. am i wrong with this? will a regular fbody spohn tq arm work with a th400 setup? and a regular fbody steel ds? thanks for the replies!

i went with the BMR the stock torque arm will not work and a new drive shaft will be needed but regardless you can get a shop around your house to build one for apx 250 rather than spending 500 on ones sold on performance web sites.

FWIW...I have the Mega Raptor 4L60E tranny. I'm going on my third rebuild with it. Can't recommend them to anyone, after what I've gone through.
I know it's not a TH400, but it's the same company. They said this Mega Raptor tranny could withstand 700hp/torque. I don't think so!
I'm trying a different shop for the rebuild this time, and if it goes out on me again, I'm going to Rossler myself!

Verdad Gallardo i havent bought mine yet i was going to go with the level 4 mega raptor th400, i told them my car has 1200 hp to have a little over kill and they told me this would work for me, i am glad i know how the company is now. i am deffinately going to rossler now.
