4l60e will not shift automatically in drive

4l60e will not shift automatically in drive Just finished up the LQ9 / 4l60e swap in my 92 caprice wagon. On the initial test drive the trans will not shift automatically in drive. I can manually shift from 1-2 but then from 2-3 it seems like it's in neutral and rpms jump really high. No overdrive at all.
I bought the trans used and rode in the car it was installed in previously and everything seemed fine.
I did also install a 2500 stall torque converter to compliment the cam.
Any ideas on what's going on?
