Torque converter HELP ASAP.

picked up a 4l60e for my ls1 going into my nova. dude i got it from threw in a TC, he wasn't sure if it came from the trans he sold to me.

the trans is a 2FFD unit.....translating to a 2002 v8 LS car

the TC had a sticker TMBX 2422 7948

i scooped a rebuilt TC for it from AAP jus to get rolling and used the above mentioned as a core.

the TC i bought from AAP is not as tall as the one i received and returned as a core.

it seems there are 2 TCs that claim to fit a 2002 LS V8 trans GM92 and GM33CW

i seem to have the GM33CW in my possession

are the 2 compatible despite being different sizes.....AAP does list the 2 TCs as EXACT FITS to my 2002 camaro z28 ss

If I can keep it and use it.

any and all help appreciated because i can still return it and get the other one

The one that i didnt get....but matches that TMBX code tbat3 was on thr one i returned as a core.

Blue one is shorter

Yea you need the gm92. The most relevant pictures are of the front of it.

damn! so the gm33cw wont work at all????

*********i jus remembered looking at my instagram that the TC i traded in for the core, WAS FROM MY LM7 PULLOUT it WASNT from my 2FFD trans. The TC i got from the guy wen i got the trans, was used in another core transaction aboout a year ago**********

An LM7 would use the same converter. Its still an LS based engine.

so your saying the lm7 would use the ''same converter'' as in the gm92? or the gm33cw?

i mean i know companies can screw up...but those 2 TC (gm92 and gm33cw) arent compatible?

so i should return the one i got and get the gm92?

appreciate the help here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
