4l80e output shaft bolt size

Does anyone know what size bolt fits on the threaded part of the output shaft? I'm trying to get endplay readings with my dial caliper and saw an old post by Clinebarger using a bolt to take such readings.

are...are you serious?
you have enough tools to rebuild an ~~engine~~ transmission and check endplay...but not check the thread of a bolt or find one in your shop that fits??

Not rebuilding an engine (yet), and a dial caliper is about the on only special tool I've needed so far. Basic hand tools and sockets are about all that's needed rebuild a 4l80e. I didn't want to jam just any bolt I had laying around. Just wanted the correct bolt is all. Mabey the next guy doing the same thing and runs a search could find this post helpful, cuz trust me I definitely searched all over and came up with nothing. I'll take the output shaft down to Napa and find out what fits. I'll post my finding later.
