Default TCI Auto X 4L60 trans

Has anyone used a TCI Auto-X 4L60E 98-Up Lock-Up Transmission ? have a 2000 TA and looking at this for Auto Cross and street use.
also may just get there valve body package that makes this all work. Any experience with this I would appreciate your opinion.

When driving in autocross, road racing or off-road competitions, engine braking is a necessity when slowing down to enter turns. This new transmission offers crucial engine-braking capability in first, second and third gear when the shifter is placed in the drive or third-gear position.

Just get the sonnax HD 2-3 shift valve...it does the same exact thing.
No need for any other mods than that valve.
I would recommend omitting the #6 checkball in the valve body also if you plan to road race

Thanks for the info, I have looked at all the Sonnax info, which is very informative, and I see that my trans has plenty of the problems that all the various kits and parts are supposed to fix.
do you like all of their parts? My thought is with all the items in the valve body that I should fix / rebuild it would make more sense to get a rebuilt valve body with all these mods already done, by someone who does this on a regular basis. Do you know a good source? doesn't seem like Sonnax offers it like that directly, that;s why I was looking at the TCI valve body.

what does the #6 check ball do? thanks for the help

I wouldn't buy a TCI valve body ever. Trust me...they are not going to do all the fixes and mods that sonnax lists on their site.
I like probably 95% of sonnax parts...the other 5% is gimmicky, or overpriced, or the general use is more tailored to stock applications rather than high performance...so pick and choose what you like.

The best way to make sure you have a good valve body is to take it to a local trans shop and have them vacuum check it. If it vacuum checks well...then install your valve and move on. If it doesn't...then address the problem areas as needed.
