Default Transmission cooler installed in the rear?

I'm running TSP duals so I have room where the old muffler went. Up front I've got the SSRA big mouth version or whatever they call it, so all of the real estate is taken up really on the radiator. I don't like how the cooler lines snake through between the long tubes and k member, etc... so I got to thinking, why not just mount it in the rear? It would be so much easier. Install a fan along with it, etc... anyone see any issues with this? As long as it can breath I don't really.

Been done lots of times.
Make sure it's moving adequate air across it and you'll be fine.
I see you're from peoria...gets chilly up there...are you sure you want to bypass the factory cooler inside the rad?
having fluid that is TOO cool isn't always good either

Thats how we did it. We run the biggest B&M cooler with a fan and sending unit. Sending unit turns the fan on at 165 degrees and we have never seen it go over that even on 100 degree days running pass after pass and using the brake every pass.

Yeah, it's not a DD. It'll be a nice weather car. It's a Circle D 5C car so it's going to need the external cooler I'd imagine. Not sure the factory cooler in the radiator is going to be up to the task.

If you're never going to drive it in the cold (I'm an Iowa guy...I'll drive mine in 40 degree weather on the late fall months before the snow flies) then I'd say the one cooler out back would be OK
