2003 van 4l80e harness wiring
i wouldnt think that any of the wires would be cut because im using the van trans
Most of the tucks have the 4 wheel drive version of the transmission (they will not have an output speed sensor and wiring).
Some of these transmissions do not even have a reluctor for the output speed sensor (you do not want to use that type of transmission in a 2 wheel drive vehicle).
Unless you want to take wiring from the transfer case area of the truck (output speed sensor circuits)...
And add it into the 4 wheel drive transmission wiring...
Then you are better off just purchasing some connector pig-tails to replace the wiring sections/ connectors that got damaged by your friend.
If the Truck is 2 wheel drive, then you should be fine.
It is best not to take on a repair that a person is not familiar with.
Improper electrical wiring can be unsafe to the installer and for the operator of the vehicle in the right circumstances.
Fortunately, the circuits being repaired in this case do not really pose much danger, however electrical repair can be unsafe in general.
Best be safe and pay for this relatively inexpensive repair, should this not be a repair you are familiar with.

The speedometer originally operated off of the output speed sensor/ circuit.
Did you read what I posted above about 4 wheel drive versions of the transmission?
