4L70E 1st Gear shifting issue
Helping a buddy with his 2007 Avalanche with a 5.3L. He has recently developed a 1st gear shifting issue. It will not shift out of 1st gear, under any condition, without letting off of the gas. The other gears shift just fine after the 1-2 shift is made. Reverse works just fine as well. Log file and current tune are attached.
I appreciate any help.

Relax killer.
Alot of guys that have seen this post are probably not hanging out on their tuning laptop to be able to pull up the log and the tune. I'll take a look when I get home from the shop.
Any Diagnostic trouble codes?
Any Freeze-Frame data?
Is this a new problem?
How long ago was the 4L70E transmission swapped into your vehicle?
How many miles are on the transmission?
What happened to the original transmission?
Have you ever serviced the transmission?
Have any transmission services or parts replacements been performed recently?
Any other issues with the vehicle?
Any modifications to the power-train and especially the transmission?
Have you checked the transmission fluid level?
Have you checked the transmission fluid condition?
Have you checked the transmission line pressure?
Is this a new tune?
Have you spoken with the tuner?
Do you have another tune you can try?

Well, I would remove the transmission and have a look inside then. Fix and overhaul the unit... It lasted a long time.
Also... Sorry to be the bearer or bad news... but there are no 2007 Chevy Avalanche vehicles produced with a 4L70E transmission.
Either it was swapped into the vehicle; or someone lied to you. Sorry.

Also, to my knowledge, there are no external differences between the 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E. The only difference is internal modifications that GM made over the years to in improve the reliability & performance of the original 4L60E.
I may be wrong about my 4L70E designation, so I'll have to dig into that some more.
