Default Trans Cooler Fitting

What angle hose end fittings do you guys use coming off the trans? To go towards the cooler...seems like a tight fit...I was thinking 45*

When searching for fittings...be sure to get NPS not NPT
NPS is straight thread, NPT is taper thread

I've seen more than one case cracked because some guy used npt and over tightened

Thanks, I have the specific trans fittings, didn’t know what angle hose end to use on the line coming off the trans.

Where do you find these NPS fittings?

I tried searching for them, and all I can find is NPT.

I was planning to use 45-degree, 1/4" NPT on my build; I could have sworn that the fittings that came out originally were NPT.

Do you think reaming the case out with an NPT tap would cause problems?

JEGS and Summit have them, as well as ICT Billet.

If you wanted to run all braided stainless outer 6AN line between the cooler, trans and radiator, couldn't you just use these to made the necessary connection at the radiator and transcooler? Both of those fittings on the radiator and most oil coolers are just 3/8" flared and not barbed, so couldn't you just cut the end of the flare off? Anyone have a pic of the fitting on a radiator?

I couldn't find 90 degree 1/4 in. NPSM x -6AN but I'm assuming you don't need those and could always use a female 6AN elbow off the fitting above.
