Exactly. Maybe I did not say it right the first time.

Part of the confusion is why you are removing the trans because the items you mentioned in post #1 may not require removing the trans, although opening the servo is a problem due to clearance.
Your stock trans is 17 years old! With the trans out why not get it rebuilt now; it is not a performance trans like your Performabuilt and you are likely to quickly trash it.
I would suggest a 4l65E rebuild kit to get the 7-friction 3/4 clutch, the parts suggested by Mr Bond and have the mechanic follow the steps from MaroonMonster.

Finally IMHO the Derale oil pan is an expensive gimmick. For its price you can get much of the trans rebuilt as everyone is suggesting. Also it will sit too low and could catch something, crack and ruin your trans. Instead consider switching to the inexpensive truck pan which gives you a drain, a little extra capacity and it only sits a bit lower.
Frankly I only really got it because it has the drain and it also has the port for the temp sensor already pre-drilled. Looked like a nice piece to me. I might just send it back for the money if I'm just gonna rebuild the entire tranny which is probably the best thing to do anyway. I got the AN fittings and line that were listed in another thread. Can't remember who posted the pic of it all but its all the fittings and line from Summit with the part numbers. Guy at the trans shop said the trans would have to be dropped to access the servo.

On another thread Mr Bond posted a link to the truck pan:

For the money you can't beat a truck pan $38.
