Default Did the trans get too hot?

Hey guys so this weekend I was leaving my sisters cottage and about 10mi into my trip home I made a turn and was getting back up to speed and noticed no lockup after 40mph ( this has happened several times after converter install. Yank ss3800 pba transgo shift kit 1 washer, no tune) I can usually just put in neutral shut it down, restart and it will lockup. I tried that twice but no lockup. Traffic was catching up to me and I knew there was a stop coming up soon so I rode it out 60 mph 3k for 4-5mi. At the stop I pulled off and shut it down for a few seconds, fired it back up, put in drive and now the car would barely move? I limped it 100ft and parked in a driveway and let it sit for 10min, checked fluid level it was good, fired it back up and was able to drive the remaining 60mi home with no issues. So I’m wondering if after that brief stop there was no air moving past the cooler and the trans overheated causing the massive slippage? A friend of mine recently got hp tuners so I’ll see what codes were thrown and I’ll need to look into why it will occasionally not lock up. ‘02 ta about 12k on the converter 32k on the car/trans
